Several hundred citizens participated in “Easy steps to good health” activation of the National campaign “Strive for Balance”

As part of the national campaign “Strive for Balance” the V+O Communication team organized an event on June 15, 2024, called “Easy steps to good health” at Ada Ciganlija. The event gathered hundreds of citizens in a symbolic 5.000 step walk, which represents the daily minimum recommended to reduce the risk of various diseases. Visitors also had the opportunity to consult with a nutritionist and undergo a check-up on a medical scale, all aimed at raising awareness about the importance of regular physical activity and a balanced diet for overall health.

In the era of digital activities, we use modern methods of digital marketing, design and content sharing on social media to connect with as many citizens as possible. Our team focuses on these approaches to be as effective as possible. Besides digital marketing, V+O was also responsible for PR activities. Through our PR engagement, we secured over 30 media releases and and arranged media appearances, allowing our message to reach even more citizens.

According to the latest data from the World Health Organization (WHO), more than 80% of adolescents and 27% of adults do not meet the recommended daily levels of physical activity. This is a global phenomenon with profound consequences for the health and well-being of people worldwide. Lack of regular physical activity can contribute to the development of various health problems, including obesity, heart disease and diabetes.

Walking, as a simple and effective form of exercise, plays a key role in maintaining health and reducing stress. For example, a brisk 10 minute walk daily can significantly contribute to your overall health and counts towards the 150 minutes of weekly physical activity recommended for adults aged 18 to 64. In the last six years, V+O Communication has been conducting various activities as part of the national campaign “Strive for Balance” and through social media, we have achieved as many as 10 million views.
